One of the best Fall activities is to go to a farm and pick apples. My family likes to try different farms so each experience is new and fresh. Each farm has its own charm and set of amusements for the kids including: hayrides, corn mazes, jumpy houses, pony rides and petting zoos. The fruit picking is the main event and always sparks the kids gathering and picking skills while we fill our bellies with warm apple cider and crunchy, pillow-y cider donuts. This outing never disappoints and it is great family bonding time.
Here is a standard PICK YOUR OWN Fruit Calendar for most farms in the USA. This will help you strategize your next trip to the farm.
Here are a few of my family’s favorite apple farms in New England. We have been to all of them in the past year and have had so much fun. Enjoy!
